The exploration of hydrocarbons is easily made with this method of Gas Geochemical Prospecting.

The migration of hydrocarbons takes place in the course of geological periods together with chemical diffusion.

Adsorbed gases at the rock or free soil gases are captured with the method of surface gas measurement. Careful working with very clean tools and probes is the basis for receiving of good and useful results.

The ways the hydrocarbons normally travel, is considered vertically upward, but with disturbances by clay lenses or geological breaks or layers having high/low permeability.

Anomalies being close to the surface may disturb the result of the exploration. They may be eliminated by using a statistical process.
