The GEOCOMP DATA TERMINAL a special software on a computer which works on the operating system Windows 98.
The DATA TERMINAL software needs a computer-hardware with special features for fulfilling the requirements of GEOCOMP-2 and GEOCOMP-3.
The main components of the DATA TERMINAL are:
By connecting the GEOCOMP-2 to the DATA TERMINAL computer one can start the DATA RECORDER for collecting all Data the GEOCOMP-2 and -3 receives from the various sensors and from the gas analyzers.
The data telegram sent by GEOOMP-2 contains all parameters and is sent in even time intervals.
All basic data are produced by the GEOCOMP system and transferred to the DATA TERMINAL.
The data base receives the data from GEOCOMP and stores them immediately on the hard disc.
Automatically one file per day is created by the DATA TERMINAL.
In addition in the data base one file is created which has one data set per meter.
The DATA TERMINAL has the feature showing all parameters in a window.
This window can be made in large or small letters, so that important and less important parameters can be shown accordingly.
Sometimes a certain section of a well is critical or of special interest. For getting the data in a numeric description, the ASCII Export is a possibility to show and read specific data.
