Function

The levels of the desired numbers of mud tanks are measured with ultra sonic sensors, mounted in a tough protection tube.

The maximal depth of a tank may be 4 m (standard) or 6 m (optional).

Characteristic

The mounting constants and the dimensions of the tanks are entered via membrane keys on GEOCOMP-3.

The mud tanks are measured individually and the trip tank is recorded separately.

A system for mud loss and mud gain warnings is programmed on GEOCOMP-3.

As option a remote display (Rig Display) can be connected to GEOCOMP-3 for showing important pit level data in digital figures.

Display

Volume of each individual tank in m³, total volume of all tanks in m³, height of level in mtrs.

Recording

The total volume is recorded on the time printer.

The printer connected to DATA TERMINAL records versus depth all PLR parameters.

The software permits recording by suppression of the zero line to enable a very sensitive recording.

Alarm

Via membrane keyboard of GEOCOMP-3 the alarm level for mud loss and gain is programmed and when it is reached an acoustic and optical warning is given to the operator.
