Should the rig have its own sensors for pump stroke counting, the GEOCOMP system is provided with different entrance circuits to work with such sensors.

Multifunctional entrance circuits in the GEOCOMP Interface unit permits working with several standard signals if not signals from RoLog's own sensors will be used.

RoLog offers a wide range of sensors to pick up all parameters needed to follow up and record the mud parameters.

All sensors are explosion proof and have the certificate of the authorized German testing institute.

Mud Pumping and Flow measurement (PSC)

Function

The pump counting system offers many possibilities of parameter display.

The number of strokes of individual pumps are counted permanent. The sensors are proximity switch types.

Characteristic

The flow measurement system, which was called in former times PUMP STROKE COUNTER is used for mud flow control, operation checks, precise measurement of pumped cement, determination of lag time and others.

The calibration data of each individual pump are entered in GEOCOMP-3. The user guidance on the screen gives the desired support.

As an option a GEOCOMP RIG DISPLAY is available for remote display of pumping and pit level information.

Pump sensor

Display

  • Total number of strokes
  • Strokes per minute
  • Pumped volume
  • Counting down of a preset volume
  • Counting down of a preset number of strokes
  • Mud flow IN

Alarm

A buzzer gives a signal after having pumped a certain volume.
